Opening: 17th January 5-8 pm

Exhibition runs 17th January – 1st March 2020

DUO is an exhibition by Karolina Erlingsson and Lotten Pålsson. Their individual works – which include text, photography, film and objects – contain several common features. Through muted poetic tones they explore their shared interest in the relationship between presence and absence, materiality and the intangible, the inner and the outer.

Karolina Erlingsson’s work is often based on stories and story-telling. She is drawn to silent experiences, stories from the margins, or stories about to fade from memory. Many of her works revolve around translations, interpretations and transitions. Lotten Pålsson’s working methods are intuitive and fragmentary. Her work is created in dialogue with that which she experiences – the material she collects is put together in constellations that oscillate between the rational and the sensual. Often animals and humans appear in a polyphony of voices.
